Toru brings nearly 20 years of experience as a Medical Doctor (cardiovascular internal physician) from Japan to his practice in Toronto, where he is now a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). After obtaining his Massage Therapy Diploma from ICT Kikkawa College, Toru has been dedicated to providing patient-centered care. He utilizes his deep understanding of body and health issues to tailor treatments to each individual’s needs.

Currently involved in the chronic pain department at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, Toru stays at the forefront of knowledge in chronic pain and musculoskeletal disorders. He specializes in myofascial release and deep tissue massage, techniques that are essential for addressing musculoskeletal issues, achieving overall body relaxation, and promoting a parasympathetic nervous system response through muscle therapy.
